Air New Zealand Koru Loyalty Programme
Air New Zealand has refreshed its loyalty programme, with Airpoints now moving under the Koru name. The change is designed to make the programme clearer, easier to understand, and more rewarding for frequent travellers. Existing members move across with their current Airpoints, Status Points, and equivalent Koru tier.
The name Koru reflects care, connection, and renewal, while bringing Air New Zealand’s loyalty programme into a more unified structure. Members will still earn Airpoints and Status Points, with Airpoints used for rewards and Status Points used to progress through the Koru tiers. Every Airpoint remains equivalent to NZD $1.
The Airpoints programme is now known as Koru. Airpoints Dollars are now called Airpoints, paid Koru Membership is now called Koru Club, and the loyalty tiers now sit under one refreshed structure: Koru Bronze, Koru Silver, Koru Gold, Koru Platinum, and Koru Black.
For travellers, the biggest change is clarity. The refreshed programme makes it easier to see what tier you are in, what benefits you receive, and how close you are to reaching the next level.
Koru Bronze is the entry-level tier and the starting point for all members joining the Koru programme.

Koru Silver

Koru Black is Air New Zealand’s new highest earned tier, created for the airline’s most loyal travellers.

Koru Black is the biggest new addition to the programme and is aimed at travellers who fly often and want the highest level of recognition, service, and flexibility.
Koru Club is the new name for paid Koru Membership. It remains separate from earned tier status and is designed for travellers who want lounge access and premium airport benefits without needing to qualify through frequent flying.
