Air New Zealand is pleased to announce that from October 2020 they will be launching a year round, non-stop 3 flights per week service between Auckland and New York (Newark Liberty International Airport) on their 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
With a flight time of 15hr40m northbound and 17hr40m southbound, this route will be Air New Zealand’s longest flight and 5th longest in the world (by distance).
London Heathrow
To cater to faster-growing markets, Air New Zealand has made the decision to stop operating their daily service from Los Angeles to London from October 2020.
Los Angeles to London will operate as scheduled until October 2020 but no tickets will be sold beyond this date.
The withdrawal will have minimal impact on the Auckland to Los Angeles services from October 2020 with up to 12 services per week continuing to operate.
From October 2020 Air New Zealand customers will be able to travel year round between Auckland and London with partner airlines via 12 gateways in Asia and the Americas, including New York.
